Pelvic Floor, Core and More! with Lia
Service Description
In our yoga practices, our pelvic floor health is affected by our breath, alignment, and mobility. This workshop explores relationships among the abdominals, hips, pelvic floor, and beyond. Attendees will learn to recognize their own body’s patterns and how these might relate to pressure, discomfort, or other symptoms in the pelvis. We will practice core engagement and nervous system strategies to promote resilience in the pelvic floor and longevity for yoga on/off the mat! Lia is a yogini and friend of Mary Borton Movement who has studied and taught yoga, anatomy, and movement for 15 years. She is a certified yoga teacher, a licensed PTA, and loves to explore and share overlaps between ancient eastern wisdom and modern health science. Note: Workshop will include movement practices and discuss alignment; please wear comfortable clothes without much bulk around the ribs, waist, or hips. Bring a yoga mat and your bare feet, but please NO perfumes or fragrant oils on skin or clothing.
